Overlap. Rolling start dates mean one eight-week course is finishing while another is at its heaviest, and each looked manageable when it was planned on its own. Charting everything you are carrying on a single page at the start makes the collision visible while eight weeks of notice still makes it easy to solve.
Specific, and timing is usually scored separately from content. An initial post is due by one day and replies by another, so a strong post filed late loses marks that an average post filed on time keeps. It is the cheapest grade protection in the program because it costs nothing but scheduling.
It depends on your program, and some students meet both across different courses in the same term. Turabian catches people out because its notes-and-bibliography form is genuinely unlike anything else students use. Most formatting marks are lost in the awkward cases — edited volumes, secondary citations, works with no date — rather than in ordinary references.
